Hi! I am a mother of a very intelligent little boy and his father is in a mental institution because he is Bi-polor and Manic. My sons father is permently institutionalized because he is unable to cope in the outside world. Now since my sons father has never really held down a job, we can't draw money from his social security. My son's father gets medicaid and I think a small check from the government also and we can't get any of that eigther. My son has been diagnosed with ADHD for now. He will be seven on the 5th of june. He asks a lot of questions sometimes about his father and I can't bring myself to tell him where his father is because even if my son's father was in his right mind I don't think he would want his son to see him, and I just don't think my son is old enough to handle the information reguarding his father especially since my son has been diagnosed with a mental disorder also. Bottom line, I don't want my son to think he will be like his father.I want my son to have the best chance at life as possible without the influence of his father's illness. My son's grandparents {on his father's side} agrees with me. We need assistance in paying bills and gas is soo high right now I can hardly afford to take my son to his doctors appointments. Any assistence will be greatly appreciated.
